What are the best running shoes for concrete/asphalt ?

You usually need extra cushion for the hard surface. Shoes that people would normally buy for longer runs -- like the Nike Vomero and Asics Nimbus lines -- would be what neutral runners would wear, and are usually higher rated than the New Balance and Wave lines you referenced (but they're otherwise the same category).
