Need help regarding Software Testing job?

Hard to say what your company may have regarding training...every company is different. As a tester, chances are there will be little in the way of programming, but you may be using various ETL tools to extract and build test data beds. Depending on your company's standards, you'll probably be involved in creating various technical documentation (possibly in conjunction with system and/or business analysts) such as test plans, test scenarios, etc. If not familiar with RUP (Rational Unified Process) standards already, might want to research it as many companies use it as their model these days.
