Maple vs Birch wood baseball bats?

I am 16 years old playing in a high school summer league in southern cal. and my coach want our team to use woodies over the summer. I have a Mizuno bamboo 33 in. But it is illegal for the league. I have been looking into a Maple or Birch Max Bat? I am a GAP HITTER and i dont hit homeruns. Im not interetsed in Ash (i used to have one). BIRCH OR MAPLE? If possible name some good mlb players that use maple and birch.
